7/6/2023 0 Comments Keepassxc touchidThankfully they offered a workaround to this. I was looking through the FAQ on the KeePassXC website and noticed that the app requires network access, which was unfortunate because the only reason I wanted to use keepass in the first place was to keep everything 100% offline. There are other Mac apps, but from what I saw they have not been updated for quite a while (Strongbox was the only good alternative, but some of the features I wanted were only available on its paid version). Since I am on a Mac, KeePassXC appeared to be the best app to manage my database. I didn't feel comfortable uploading my passwords to a third party service, so I did some research and was excited to discover KeePass! Everything is saved locally, and there is absolutely no need to send sensitive passwords over the internet. I have been neglecting to use a password manager for too long, and decided it was finally time to get things organized. Though, If you do happen to know exactly how to fix this issue, any help would be greatly appreciated!įor reference, I am using a MacBook Pro with an intel processor, running BigSur 11.2.3 My only reason for posting this is to document my experience in case anyone else has a similar issue, or in case any developers would like to look into this further. ![]() Failed, giving up, and just going to install like a normal person. ![]() TL DR - Followed the docs to try installing KeePassXC without "network access" code.
